Capital Market Index dips by 1.28 points with minimal turnover of Rs 49.68 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has closed negatively by 1.28 points or 0.08% to close at 1563.81 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1565.09 points and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. However, on the second trading hour of the day, the market lost more points – signaling selling pressure among buyers.
64,518 units shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) and 46,208 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank limited (NCCB) were traded the most today.
Himalayan General Insurance Limited (HGI) had the highest turnover of over Rs. 4.91 crore, followed by Nabil Bank Promoter Shares (NABILP) with Rs. 2.36 crore.
The best performer of the day was Everest Bank Limited Convertible Preference Shares (EBLCP) and World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) hitting 10% positive circuit break whereas Gurans Life Insurance Company Promoter Shares (GLICLP) was among the top losers today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs. 49.68 crore in which more than 7.99 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,336 transactions.
Sensitive and float Index decreased by 0.6 points and 0.14 points respectively.
Expect Banking, Hydropower and others sub–groups, all sub-group landed in green zone today. Hotels sub-group increased by 28.14 points.
