Breaking Borders: Fonepay And GLN International Forge Cross-Border QR Payment Alliance

Fonepay Payment Service Ltd, Nepal’s largest payment network, and GLN International have signed an MOU to explore integrating systems for cross-border QR payments between Nepal and Korea.

This collaboration aims to enable real-time QR payments for GLN users in Nepal at over 1.3 million stores, starting with Korea's outbound QR payment service.

Nepal holds strategic importance for GLN's Asian business expansion, aligning with its plans to extend into Central Asia and other regions like Mongolia and Indonesia.

GLN's CEO emphasized their commitment to delivering cross-border payment solutions, while Fonepay's CEO highlighted the collaboration's role in expanding services among Koreans and contributing to Nepal's digital economy.
