Bank of Kathmandu celebrates 25 glorious years of its operation; makes generous financial contribution of Rs 1 crore to Dr. Bhagwan Koirala led Kathmandu Institute of Child Health

Bank of Kathmandu Limited has held a press meet today to mark its 25th anniversary. With Nepal Rastra Bank's Governor Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal as the chief guest, the bank's board of directors, management committee and media personnel were present at the event.

Chief Guest Dr. Nepal inaugurated the press event while Mr. Prakash Shrestha, Chairman of Bank of Kathmandu Limited, welcomed the guests and acknowledged their presence.   

At the event, Chief Guest Dr. Nepal revealed the bank's 25th Anniversary logo designed especially for the occasion and expressed his gratitude towards the bank for its 25 years of service and conveyed his best wishes for the upcoming days. 

As a part of its CSR campaign, the bank announced to donate Rs 10 million to Kathmandu Institute of Child Health for the construction of its ICU section and had the cheque handed over to Dr. Bhagwan Koirala, founder chairman of the institute. Similarly, the bank announced to support Society of Economic Journalist Nepal (SEJON) to encourage women's participation in economic journalism in Nepal and to further provide training to them. A cheque of Rs. 500, 000 was handed over to Mr. Bhim Pd. Gautam, President of the society.

Mr. Shovan Dev Pant, Chief Executive Officer of the bank expressed his gratitude towards Chief Guest Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal as well as the entire participants present at the program.

Bank of Kathmandu Limited currently has 87 branches including 10 extension counters and 78 ATMs across the country.

According to the financial statements, at the end of the second quarter of fiscal year 2076/77, the bank has been able to maintain a net profit of Rs. 88 crore 38 lakh with an increment of 20%, compared to the same period last Fiscal Year. During this period, bank deposits and loans have also increased by 7.8% and 9.14% respectively over the previous year amounting to Rs. 90.11 billion and Rs. 82.49 billion respectively.
