16 COVID-19 infected return home after complete recovery; total of 51,367 are tested for COVID-19 across the country

The number of patients returning home after overcoming the deadly COVID-19 has reached 16, the officials confirmed. On Sunday, four persons were discharged from Narayani Regional Hospital Birgunj after they overcome the coronavirus.

Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Bikash Devkota in a regular press meet shared that out of 51 infected with the COVID-19, 16 returned their homes after complete recovery.

He shared that a total of 51,367 are tested for COVID-19 across the country adding that 9,931 were tested via PCR while 41,436 from RDT.

Dr Devkota stated that 2,071 people contacted at the call centre established in the Ministry to disseminate information about COVID-19.

Similarly, 26,810 people have filled up self-examination forms, and tracing bid is intensified to examine them.

Meanwhile, Lions Club International has donated medical stuffs at the Ministry on Sunday. The medical stuffs including PPE, facial masks and gloves were handed over to the officials of the Ministry at the presence of Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal.
