Vivek Jain appointed Silk Air's new GM for Nepal

KATHMANDU, Nov 25:
Silk Air, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, has appointed Vivek Jain as its new general manager for Nepal.
Prior to this, Jain, who has been working with Singapore Airlines for one and half decades, was working as the general manager of Silk Air India.
“Nepal is our major destination. We are very excited with the business in Nepal and that is why we are operating six flights in a week. If the demand increases, we will be operating daily flights to Nepal,” Jain said.
Passengers traveling in Silk air from Nepal can connect to more than 100 other destinations via Singapore Airlines.
“This connection has made passengers flying in our airlines easier,” said Jain. Everest Express Tours and Travels is the general sales agent for Silk Air in Nepal. According to Jain, Silk Air will use Boeing 737-800 series aircraft for Nepal flights from December.“The aircraft has Wi-Fi connectivity and other latest technologies.
Our passengers will get the modern facilities,” he added. Silk Air currently operates more than 350 flights a week in around 47 destinations of 12 different countries. Silk has a fleet of 26 aircraft. It has already placed orders for 68 units of Boeing 737 series aircraft, according to Jain.
