Citizens Bank Enhances Learning Environment at Sankat Mochan School Through CSR Initiative

Citizens Bank International Limited has contributed to improving the educational environment at Shree Sankat Mochan Devsaran Ramrati Secondary School in Janakpurdham Rural Municipality-4, Dhanusha, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The bank donated fans to enhance the classroom environment for approximately 1,000 students, helping them cope with high temperatures and focus better on their studies.

CEO Ganesh Raj Pokharel personally handed over the fans, emphasizing the positive impact of small-scale support in education. He also highlighted the bank's ongoing commitment to social causes, including plans to expand CSR efforts across social, economic, cultural, and educational sectors.

Citizens Bank, recognized as “Bank of the Year 2024,” has also shown innovation in digital banking by launching Nepal’s first virtual credit card in partnership with Fonepay and offering share applications through its mobile app.

With a wide presence across Nepal, 200 branches, 168 ATMs, and over 1.9 million customers, the bank is committed to contributing beyond traditional banking. Through such community-focused initiatives, Citizens Bank aims to support national development and encourages other institutions to do the same.
