Womi Microfinance gets approval from NRB to expand services to 32 districts

Womi Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WOMI) has received approval from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to expand its working area to 17 more districts. The microfinance company, that has been providing microfinance services from 15 districts, now has 32 districts under its working belt. WOMI has currently been providing services from 22 branches in 15 districts. It had provided 20% bonus shares to its shareholders for the FY 2073/74, after which its paid up capital has reached Rs 6.48 crore. Issuing a press statement, the microfinance company said that it aims to open new branches in designated rural areas soon. It has provided Rs 53 crore in loans and has more than Rs 19 crore in deposits, added the statement.
