In the recently conducted “After Budget Interaction” Mr Sishir Dhungana, Revenue Secretary strongly stated that the increased 7.5% Capital Gain Tax is final tax for the investors. The interaction programme was conducted by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries. Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada was also present the interaction programme.

The budget presented by the finance minister for the Fiscal Year 2075/76 was highly criticized for increasing the Capital Gain Tax on sale of share by 50% from the previous 5%. Along with that, the investors had also lashed the budget for introducing the tax as advance tax to be paid.

However, the Secretary of Revenue Department Mr Dhungana has cleared all the issues regarding the matter.
