Government Takes Four Key Decisions at Cabinet Meeting

The government has promoted Achyutmani Neupane, a Joint Attorney General of the Government Attorney Group under the Nepal Judicial Service, to the gazetted special class and appointed him Secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.

The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting held on Friday, Information and Communications Minister Dr. Bikram Timilsina said.

The Cabinet also approved signing a mandate agreement with the World Bank concerning the Nepal Earthquake Catastrophe Bond. It approved the Formation Order, 2083, for a committee tasked with registering land in the names of people residing on Bitauri land.

Similarly, the government decided to provide cash rewards to female kabaddi and karate athletes, coaches and managers who win medals at the 20th Asian Games. The Cabinet’s decisions cover administrative appointments, land registration, disaster-related financial arrangements and incentives for athletes.
