CA Govinda Sharma Gaire Appointed to World Taxpayers Association's Advisory Board

Chartered Accountant Govinda Sharma Gaire has been appointed to the advisory board of the World Taxpayers Associations (WTA), representing Nepal’s taxpayer rights movement at the international level.

The appointment was made during the WTA’s general assembly and conference held in Kraków, Poland, which concluded on October 5, 2026.

Gaire is the founding president of the Nepal Taxpayers Welfare Society (NTWS), where he has been advocating for taxpayer rights, tax awareness, tax administration reform and greater transparency in tax policy.

A chartered accountant with a master’s degree in business management and a bachelor’s degree in law, Gaire has more than two decades of professional experience in financial and operational auditing, financial regulation, and capital market compliance.

The WTA is an international network of taxpayer organizations from more than 50 countries. It works to protect taxpayer rights and promote fair tax systems, transparent public spending and accountable government.
