This week (Feb 11- Feb 15), Nepal Stock Exchange had 4 trading days; market was closed on Tuesday due to Mahashivaratri. This week’s NEPSE index closed at 1,424.95; an increase in the NEPSE index by 33.92 points as the previous week’s closing was 1,391.03 points.
On Sunday and Monday there was a fall in NEPSE by 6.32 and 4.42 points respectively closing at 1380.29 points and on Wednesday benchmark index rises by 8.65 points and this rise was mainly occurred on last 20 minute of market closing. The investors expects the formation of new government led by KP Oli which resulted last moment market hike and on last trading day (Thursday) market rises by 36.01 points due to formation of most awaited new government led by KP Oli.
Similarly, this week, the sensitive index closed at 301.3 points and float index closed at 102.81 points. In the previous week, both the sensitive and float index closed at a figure of 294 and 102.81 points respectively.
