Weather Update: Partly Cloudy Skies Across Nepal with Scattered Rainfall Expected

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has issued a weather update for today and tonight, revealing a mixed bag of conditions across the nation.

Today's Weather:

Today, Nepal can expect partly to generally cloudy skies throughout the country. While most areas will remain dry, there is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of Lumbini Province and the hilly regions of the rest of the country. Additionally, a few other areas in the nation may also experience isolated rainfall.

Tonight's Weather:

As the night falls, the skies are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across Nepal. Rainfall activity is predicted in several regions. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province. Moreover, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning occurring at one or two places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province.

Meteorological Analysis:

The current weather patterns are influenced by the Axis of the Monsoon Trough, which is situated around an average position on the west side and south of an average position on the east side of Nepal. Furthermore, there is a partial influence from a low-pressure area located in and around Madhya Pradesh, India, which is affecting weather conditions in Nepal.
