Today's Weather Update:

Partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected throughout the country today. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur in some places of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province. Additionally, a few places in the rest of the provinces may experience light to moderate rain as well.

There is also a possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places in Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province.

Tonight's Weather Outlook:

The night is expected to be partly to generally cloudy across the country. Similar to the daytime conditions, light to moderate rain is likely in some places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province. A few places in the other provinces may also experience light to moderate rain.

Moreover, there are chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province during the night.

Meteorological Analysis:

The current weather pattern is influenced by the monsoon season in Nepal. The Axis of Monsoon Trough is situated to the north of the average position in the western region and around the average position in the eastern region. This configuration is contributing to the cloudy and rainy conditions across the country.
