Today's Forecast:

Partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected throughout the country today, according to the details made available by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division. There will be light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province. Additionally, hilly regions of the rest of the country may also experience similar weather, with a few places in the rest of the country likely to see light to moderate rain. Furthermore, there is a chance of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Tonight's Forecast:

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country as reported by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province. Similarly, a few places in Koshi Province, Lumbini Province, and hilly regions of the rest of the country may also experience light to moderate rain. Moreover, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province. Additionally, one or two places in the terai regions of the rest of the country may also witness heavy rain.

Meteorological Analysis:

The meteorological analysis provided by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, indicates that the current weather patterns in Nepal are influenced by the partial impact of the Monsoon air. This influence is a result of the low-pressure area located around Odisha and Andhra Pradesh in India. The Axis of Monsoon Trough is presently positioned south of its average location.
