Weather Update: Monsoon Brings Rain and Thunderstorms

Partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected throughout the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province. Additionally, a few places in the rest of the country may also experience similar weather conditions. Furthermore, there is a chance of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi Province, Madesh Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Tonight's Weather Forecast:

The country is expected to experience generally cloudy weather during the night. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places of the hilly regions. Additionally, one or two places in the rest of the country may also experience similar weather conditions. Moreover, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in Koshi Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has provided an analysis indicating that the Monsoon Trough axis is currently situated to the south of its average position. As a result, the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, which are contributing to the observed weather patterns.
