Today's Forecast

Partly to generally cloudy weather is expected throughout the country. There will be light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly regions and a few places in other parts of the country. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two locations in the Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province.

Tonight's Forecast 

The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. Expect light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of the Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province, and at a few locations in other areas. There is a chance of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province.

Meteorological Analysis

Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of the monsoon. The axis of the Monsoon Trough is situated north of its average position in the western regions and approximately at the average position in the eastern regions.
