Currently, the eastern and central parts of the country are experiencing the influence of the monsoon system, while the remaining areas are partially influenced by local winds and westerly winds.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it is expected to rain in Koshi, accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places.

In the mountainous regions of the country, the weather is partly cloudy to generally clear.

In the afternoon, there will be a general change in weather in the Koshi province, a partial to normal change in the rest of the hilly areas, and a partial change to normal weather in the plains, as informed by the department.

The department predicts the possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some places in the Koshi province, a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and one or two places in the remaining parts of the country.

Furthermore, the division has informed about the possibility of light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, in a few places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, including Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and one or two places in other regions.

There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the Koshi region.

The department has requested individuals to take necessary precautions to mitigate the risks or damages that may occur due to rising river levels caused by thunder and lightning, floods, landslides, debris flow, and rainfall.
