Upper Mai Hydropower Project Resumes Electricity Production After Repairs
Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited has announced that electricity generation from its Upper Mai Hydropower Project (9.98 MW) has resumed following repair and maintenance works.
According to the company, power production had been halted since Baisakh 7, 2083 BS, after an unexpected burst at the manhole at the project's tunnel outlet at around 3:00 pm, causing damage to the system.
The company stated that the damaged section was repaired and the project underwent testing before electricity generation officially resumed from 10:00 am on Jestha 7, 2083 BS.
Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited said the project is now operating normally after the completion of maintenance work.
