Unilever Nepal’s net profit declined by 13.95% to Rs 96.52 crore; proposes Rs 1270 per share cash dividends

Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) has posted decline in net profit by 13.95 percent in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2073/74.
According to the unaudited financial statement published by the multinational company today, its profit after tax has decreased to Rs 96.52 crore in the fourth quarter from Rs 1.12 arba in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year.
UNL net sales from operating surpasses to Rs 4.44 arba as compared to Rs 3.94 arba in the corresponding quarter.
The company’s total income from operation increased to Rs 5.01 arba till Q4 compared to Rs 4.40 arba the same period last year.
The company has also stated that its total expenditure hikes to Rs 3.68 arba till fourth quarter from Rs 2.97 arba in the previous year report of the fiscal year 2072/73.
Unilever retained earnings and reserves increased to Rs 1.98 arba in the fourth quarter from Rs 1.95 arba in the correponding quarter. Its current paid up capital stands at Rs 9.21 crore.
UNL’s earning per share (EPS) has inclined to Rs 1,047 in Q4 from Rs 1,217 in the previous quarter, and its net worth per share now stands at Rs 2153, up from Rs 2124 in previous quarter. The company’s P/E ratio stands at 27.86times.
Unilever Nepal proposes Rs 1270 per share cash dividend
UNL has also proposedRs 1270 per share cash dividends to its shareholders from the profit it had earned in the FY 2073/74. The decision is subject to the approval from the concerned authority.
Unilever is the highest dividend distributing companies in Nepal among all the listed companies and also the most expensive share in secondary market of Nepal.
Earlier, The company had distributed Rs 1020 per share cash dividend to its shareholders from the net profit earned in the fiscal year 2072/73.
The last traded price of the company stood at Rs 30,100 on August 28, 2017.
