UML's newly elected chairperson Oli and office bearers sworn in

Newly elected CPN (UML) chairperson KP Sharma Oli has taken oath of office and secrecy today. The party's 10th National General Congress re-elected KP Sharma Oli as chair. In the closed session, Central Election Commission Chairman Dr Bijay Subba administered the oath of office to the newly elected Chairman Oli.

Following this, Chairman Oli administered the oath of office to the other office bearers and members. Out of 2,096 votes cast, Chairman Oli received 1,837 votes, according to the party's Commission. There were 2,153 delegates in the General Convention.

In the election, Ashtalakshmi Shakya, Surendra Pandey, Subash Nembang, Bishnu Poudel, Yuvraj Gyawali, and Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal were elected as Vice-chairs.

Ishwor Pokharel has been elected as the senior vice president and Shankar Pokharel as the general secretary. Pradip Kumar Gyawali, Prithvi Subba Gurung and Bishnu Rimal have also been elected unopposed as the three Deputy General Secretaries. Gokarna Bista, Yogesh Bhattarai, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Raghuvir Mahaseth, Chhabilal Bishwakarma, Lekhraj Bhatt and Padma Aryal have been elected as secretaries.

Dr Pushparaj Kandel has been elected as the Chair of the Central Accounts Commission and Keshav Wadal has been elected as the Chair of the Central Disciplinary Commission.
