Tussle between buyers & sellers keeps market stagnant; Index slides by meager 3.40 points with turnover above Rs 1.13 arba

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 3.40 points or 0.20% to close 1672.38 points today. NEPSE Index opened at 1675.78 points today and the local bourse was mainly seen in sideways movement—signaling equal pressures between both buyers and sellers. index 111,712 units shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) and 71,754 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most today. 6 companies hit positive circuit break today. Himalayan General Insurance Company Limited (HGI) and Prime Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs 9.94 crore and Rs 8.42 crore respectively. Today, 50,050 shares of HGI were matched within Broker No. 32. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.13 arba where more than 14.15 lakh units shares were traded through 7,906 transactions. Sensitive index and float index decreased 1.4 and 0.48 points respectively.
