Turnover plunges to Rs 174 million; trading of NHPC amounts more than Rs 10 million

NEPSE index slipped meager 0.94 points or 0.1 percent to close at 938.02 level today.
HydroPower (2096.42) and Finance (517.53) were the sectors to land in green recording surge of 3.93 and 0.2 points respectively.
Maximum trading of shares were done of Commercial Banks, Insurance Companies, Development Banks and Hydro Power companies.
Trading of NHPC and NLIC shares were done of more than Rs 10 million where NHPC gained Rs 5 or 4.31 percent to close at Rs 121.
After NHPC and NLIC commercial banks like NBB, NICA, SRBL, BOK and EBL were mostly traded.
Share price of SFL surged more than 9 percent. Similarly share price of GABL. MDBL, METRO and NCM gained more than 5 percent till closing.
On the contrary share price of PROFL, and SBLPO dipped by more than 8 percent.
Altogether 441,700 unit shares of 126 companies were traded through 1,477 transactions worth Rs 174.19 million.
