Turnover & Index dwindles as investors opt for wait & watch approach; Index down by 6.56 points

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 6.56 points or 0.44% today to close at 1,469.16 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1,475.72 points and the local bourse was seen in downward trend.The total turnover of the day stood at just Rs 39.77, where more than 11.52 lakh units shares were traded through 4,688 transactions.
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 26.78 crore) while Civil Bank Limited (CBL) was traded the most (1.12 lakh units) today.
The best performer for the day was Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) hitting almost 10% positive circuit break whereas Nepal Hydro Developer Limited (NHDL) was among the biggest loser today as well.
Sensitive and float index went down by 1.52 points and 0.58 respectively.
Except others, the indices of eight trading group landed in red at the end of the day. Insurance sub-indices dwindled the most by 29.25 points.
