Turnover dropped to Rs 34.82 crore while Nepse Index rises by 8.02 points

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 8.02 points or 0.54% to close at 1,480.26 points today.
NEPSE Index opened at 1,472.33 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 34.82 crore, where more than 9.31 lakh units shares were traded through 4,249 transactions.
Shangrila Development Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (SADBLP) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 26.51 crore) and most traded shares (129,348 units) today.
The best performer for the day was Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) hitting almost 10% positive circuit break whereas Srijana Finance BittiyaSanstha (SFFIL) was among the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 1.96points and 0.62 respectively.
The sub-indices of Finance and others landed in red whereas the sub-indices of major sectors such as Development Bank, Banking, Hotels, Manufacturing & Production, Hydro power, Insurance and Microfinance was ended in green. However, Trading sector remains unchanged at the end of the day. Insurance sector increased the most i.e. 55.72 points followed by Hotels sector with 35.56 points.
