Turnover above Rs 260 million; EIC among top traded shares

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dipped meager 1.26 points or 0.13 percent to close at 936.76 level.
Similarly Sensitive and Float index plunged by 0.17 and 0.09 points to settle at 199.34 and 66.51 level respectively.
Opening at 938.07 level this afternoon, the local bourse loosed few points and came down to intraday low of 934.53 mark till second trading hour and thereafter remained around this level throughout the day.
EIC was traded of maximum amount today. After EIC, NLIC, LUBL, EBL and CHCL were the mostly traded shares.
The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 260.97 million where all together 603,817 unit shares of 134 companies were traded.
After commercial bank’s shares, mostly Development Banks and Insurance company’s shares were traded.
Among the sub-indices, Hotels, HydroPower and Insurance landed in red.
Manufacturing gained maximum of 10.24 points to close at 1568.83 level.
HDL, NIL, GABL, ICFC and SODBL were among the top gainers of the day.
Share price of EIC dipped by 9.81 percent to close at Rs 735.
