Tribhuvan University Gives 15 Day Deadline to Absent Staff

Tribhuvan University has given professors and staff members who did not return to work after completing study leave, 15 days to contact the university or face legal action.

The university's Study Leave Management Implementation Committee issued a public notice on Wednesday, asking faculty and employees who either failed to return after their studies or left before completing their required service period to report to the committee's office.

The university has already recovered Rs 118.4 million from 50 professors who did not come back after using study leave benefits. It said some faculty members misused the provision, causing financial and academic losses to the institution.

Those who do not respond within the deadline will face legal proceedings under their signed agreements and university rules.
