Traffic Police Book Over 2,000 Violators in Kathmandu Valley Within 24 Hours

In the last 24 hours, the Kathmandu Valley reported 2,015 traffic rule violations, with traffic police collecting Rs 2.66 million in fines from offenders.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the violations included 99 cases of drunk driving, 193 cases of unauthorized ride-sharing, 133 incidents of traffic signal violations, and 132 cases of lane discipline breaches.

Similarly, 79 motorists were penalized for unnecessary honking in restricted zones, 87 for roadside and pavement parking, 139 for overspeeding, and 79 for driving on one-way roads. An additional 1,164 cases were linked to other traffic-related offenses.
