Three Nepali Universities Sign MoU for Academic Collaboration

A landmark tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Tribhuvan University, Madhya Paschim University, and Sudurpaschim University to foster study, research, and academic collaboration. The agreement was formalized at Sudurpaschim University in Mahendranagar on Wednesday, according to the university's information officer, Nabin Bahadur Bam.

The MoU was signed by the respective vice-chancellors: Prof. Dr. Hemraj Pant of Sudurpaschim University, Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal of Tribhuvan University, and Prof. Dr. Dhruva Kumar Gautam of Madhya Paschim University. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of University Grants Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari.

Speaking at the program, Registrar Prof. Dr. Binod Lekhak of Sudurpaschim University highlighted that the MoU will serve as a milestone in addressing the shortage of higher academic human resources by leveraging digital platforms.

The three universities have pledged to institutionalize the exchange of educational resources, research, technology, and experience. Key initiatives under this collaboration include joint classes, research partnerships, and shared use of faculty members through digital platforms.

The collaboration is expected to significantly enhance the quality of higher education, promote the efficient use of resources, and support the development of a modern, technology-based education system in Nepal.
