The wait is over! Sanjen and Rasuwagadhi to be listed in secondary market after a wait of three and half months

The shares of Sanjen Jalvidhyut and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company will be finally listed in NEPSE. The agreement for the same process will take place tomorrow (i.e. 5th August, 2019 Monday) among t he representatives of the hydropowers and those of NEPSE. The agreement will be done tomorrow at 3:30 PM. The shares are going to be listed after the long wait of around three and half months.

Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited under the “Janata ko Jalavidhyut” scheme of government has closed the issue of  54,75,000 units ordinary shares worth Rs 54.75 crore to the general public on Baisakh 12, 2076. This issue was opened since Baisakh 6, 2076. 

Out of the offered 54,75,000 units, 4% i.e. 2,19,000 units have been set aside for the employees of the company and 5% i.e. 2,73,750 units have been allotted for the mutual funds. The remaining 49,82,250 units are for the general public. The issue capital of the company is Rs 3.65 arba and 15% share of issue capital is being offered to general public.

A total of 288,897 valid applicants were received for 12,996,220 units of shares till closing day. The issue was oversubscribed by 2.78 times. Number of invalid applicants stood at 11,700 who had applied for 8.73 Lakh units of shares.

As per the allotment module, all valid applicants have been allotted minimum 10 unit shares and lucky 209,328 applicants have been allotted extra 10 units.

Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company Limited has also closed the issue of 1,02,63,150 units ordinary shares worth Rs 1.02 arba to the general public from Baisakh 12, 2076. 

Out of the offered 1,02,63,150 units, 4% i.e. 4,10,526 units have been set aside for the employees of the company and 5% i.e. 5,13,157 units have been allotted for the mutual funds. The remaining 93,39,467 units are for the general public. The issue capital of the company is Rs 6.84 arba and 15% share of issue capital is being offered to general public.

A total of 291,272 valid applicants had applied for 16,120,470 units of shares till closing. The issue has been oversubscribed by 1.83 times. Number of invalid applicants was 11,071 who had applied for 9.87 Lakh units of shares.

As per the allotment module, applicants applying for 10-40 units have been fully allotted shares as per demand. The remaining shares were allotted via lottery among 25,693 lucky applicants who had applied for more than 40 units.
