NEPSE Index Plummets by 18.02 Points to Close at 2,739.95; HDL Tops the Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 18.02 points (0.65%) to settle at 2,739.95. This follows a 9.22 -point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2754.44 touching an intraday high of 2,770.80, while the lowest point was 2,737.85. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.54 Arba, with 14,009,708 shares traded across 323 companies through 58,105 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.78 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.50 Kharba.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 1.75 Arba. The stock closed at Rs. 1,423.90
Bikash Hydropower Company Limited (BHCL) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.
Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.29%.
Among sectors, the Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 0.15%, while the Development Bank Index saw the highest loss at 1.69%.
