Super Madi Hydropower Achieves Turnaround in Q3 FY 2080/81, Reports Significant Net Profit Increase and Surge in Power Sales

Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) has showcased outstanding financial prowess during the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2080/81, evidenced by a noteworthy surge in earnings amounting to Rs. 9.02 Crores. This marks a substantial turnaround from the net loss of 1.07 Crores reported during the corresponding quarter last year.

During this period, SMHL's loans and borrowings ascended to Rs. 6.16 Arba, reflecting a significant increase of 7.25%.

The company experienced a remarkable uptick in revenue compared to the same quarter last year, raking in an impressive Rs. 94.55 Crores from power sales. Concurrently, operating expenses were reported at Rs. 5.75 Crores, while financial costs surged to Rs. 56.79 Crores.

SMHL maintains a financial structure with a paid-up capital of Rs. 2.1 Arba and a commendable Reserves and Surplus portfolio valued at Rs. 10.84 Crores. The Annualized Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at Rs. 5.73. Furthermore, the net worth of the company is reported at Rs. 105.16 Crores.

The Supermadi Hydro Power Project, managed by Super Madi Hydropower, has officially commenced commercial operations as of Chaitra 27, 2079. Following its successful launch, trading for the shares has commenced on the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited since the 18th of Falgun, 2079.

Benefiting from strong water flow within the Madi River, the project has reported substantial earnings exceeding the contracted energy output from Poush to the end of Chaitra. This favorable development has instilled optimism within the company, anticipating that the project will continue to meet or even surpass projected production levels in the foreseeable future.
