Stock Market slides by 2.16 points on week’s last trading day; Turnover exceeds Rs 1.13 arba

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 2.16 points or 0.13% to close at 1660.58 points.
Nepse Index opened at 1662.92 points and the local bourse slightly increased to 1668.40 during the first trading hour after that it was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above 1.13 arba in which more than 28.51 lakh units shares were traded 10,001 transactions.
Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited (MNBBL) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 10.13 crore) while Laxmi Value Fund (LVF1) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (6.31 lakh units).
The best performer of the day were National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS), World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) and Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL) hitting 10% positive circuit break while General Finance Limited (GFL) and Gandaki Bikas Bank Limited (GDBL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly went down by 0.24 and 0.3 points respectively.
Except Banking, Finance and others sub-group, all other sub groups landed in red. Insurance sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 45.3 points.
