Stock Market continues to plunge by double digit; Index closes at 1502.20 levels with minimal turnover of Rs 56.98 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 21.06 points or 1.38% to close at 1502.20 points today. NEPSE Index opened 1522.58 points and the local bourse was seen in continuous downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 56.98 crore in which more than 10.70 lakh units shares were traded 6,458 transactions. index Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.70 crore) while Nabil Equity Fund (NEF) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (54,768 units). The best performer for the day were  United Finance Limited (UFL) and Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) hitting 10% positive circuit break whereas Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (KSBBL) was the biggest loser today. Sensitive and float index declined by 4.31 and 1.49 points respectively. Except Others and Manufacturing & Production sub-groups, all the sub-groups landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group has plunged by 185.1 points.
