StanChartered 26th AGM

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal held its 26th annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday which was chaired by its chairman Sunil Kaushal. The bank continued to record revenue growth during financial year 2011-12. The bank was able to post an operating profit and net profit of Rs 1.69 billion and Rs 1.17 billion, respectively, during the period. The growth in its net profit was 4.45 per cent over the previous year. Similarly, it also posted a growth of 6.25 per cent on its Risk Assets Level which stood at Rs 19.83 billion in the last fiscal year. As proposed by the board of directors, the AGM approved payment of cash dividend of 45 per cent and bonus shares at 15 per cent, respectively, for the year ended 15 July, 2012. The bank recently had won the prestigious ‘Bank of the Year 2012’ award.
