Short Term Profit Booking Led NEPSE Lost 0.47%; Turnover Is Highest In 3 Months

The NEPSE index closed at 2,076.67 today after losing 9.75 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.47%. The index had gained 57.61 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2095.62 and made an intraday high at 2,148.61. It then went intraday day low at 2,059 and ultimately closed at 2,076.67. Almost, 90 points of volatility was seen in the market today. 

234 scrips traded hands via 75,790 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 10,981,591 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.349 Arba in the turnover amount. This is the highest transaction since 27th March 2022.

 

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 17.58 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 826. The shares of Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) traded the most.

CYC Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CYCL) and Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) gained highest 10% each and hit a positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Global IME Bank Limited Debenture 2086/87 (GBILD86/87) lost the highest 9.75% today.

Four out of thirteen indices closed green, and “Trading" gained the highest 6.82% while "Mutual Fund" lost the highest 1.85%.
