Shikhar Insurance earns Rs 2.77 arba premium in 2073/74; 39% year-on-year growth

Shikhar Insurance Company Limited (SICL) has earned total premium collection of Rs 2.77 arba in FY 2073/74. The non-life insurance company has been able to achieve almost 39% growth in its premium collection as compared to FY 2072/73.
Up to the end of Q3, it had earned Rs 2 arba premium and has managed to add over Rs 77 crore in the last 3 months of FY 2073/74. Until the end of Q3, its net profit stood at Rs 40.17 crore with annualized EPS of Rs 44.
Shikhar Insurance is one of the leading non-life insurance companies in Nepal in terms of annual premium collection and paid up capital. With over 18 branches in Nepal, it had over 2 lakh policies until the end of Chaitra 2073 with more than 35,000 renewals. SICL had provided a whopping 60% bonus share to its shareholders in FY 2072/73.
Its paid up capital currently stands at Rs 81.76 crore and it will easily reach Insurance Board’s paid up capital requirement by issuing bonus shares.
