Selling pressure pulls market down by 8.19 points with turnover above Rs 92.79 crore; CIT among top turnover

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 8.19 points or 0.49% to close at 1653.53 points. Nepse Index opened at 1661.62 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend during the first trading hour of the day after that selling pressure was seen and then was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 92.79 crore in which more than 20.10 lakh units shares were traded through 7975 transactions. index Citizens Investment Trust (CIT) consequently topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 6.64 crore) while NMB Samriddhi fund-1 (NMBSF1) was at the top in terms of number of shares traded (2.73 lakh units). The best performer of the day were Professional Diyalo Bikas Bank Limited (PROFL) hitting 10% positive circuit break while Kuber Merchant Finance Limited (KMBSL) was the biggest loser today. Sensitive and float index slightly went down by 1.94 and 0.67 points respectively. Except Finance and Manufacturing & Productions sub-group, all other groups landed in red.
