Selling pressure pulls market down by 17.94 points with minimal turnover above Rs 96.52 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has decreased by 17.94 points or 1.06 % to close at 1675.78 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1694.44 points today and the local bourse slightly increased to 1696.63 in the first trading hour of the day and then was seen in a downward trend.
92,021 units shares of Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) and 90,060 units shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) were traded the most today. Rastriya Beema Company Limited, Shree Investment and Finance Company Limited and Hamro Bikas Bank hit positive circuit break today.
16.26 lakh units shares were traded through 8,488 transactions.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 96.52 crore where more than 16.26 lakh units shares were traded through 8,488 transactions
Sensitive index and float index decreased 4.65 and 1.54 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing & Production sub-index, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 83.74 followed by Hotels sub group that spiraled down by 23.3 points.
