Sector-wise breakdown of budgetary allocation

The estimated income and expenditure (budget) for the fiscal year 2016-17 has set aside the largest amount to the education sector.
Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel presented the budget for the fiscal year 2016-17 in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Saturday.
The budgetary outlay for the education sector is Rs 116 billion 360 million 649 thousand.
The budgetary allocation to other ministries and government bodies is as follows:
