SEBON Set to Observe “Global Money Week” 2026 From March 16-22
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) is set to celebrate the 14th edition of “Global Money Week” 2026 (GMW) from March 16 to 22 in Nepal.
GMW aims to increase financial literacy and develop financial knowledge, skills and mindset among children and youths. This year’s slogan for Nepal is “Smart Money Talks”.
Regarding the Week, SEBON has urged all concerned organisations in Nepal to organise various programmes to make it a success. The Board has also asked the organisations related to the capital market to inform it about their scheduled activities during the celebration.
The Board stated that it has been marking the Week for the past seven years as a member of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and its International Network on Financial Education (INFE). It has been organising financial literacy and investor awareness programmes in collaboration with organisations such as the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited, the CDS and Clearing Limited, the Merchant Bankers Association of Nepal, the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal, the Nepal Private Equity Association, credit rating agencies and stock trading organisations.
Held every year under the leadership of the OECD, the Global Week Week has so far reached more than 70 million youths across 176 countries in the world.
