SEBON officials complete Mumbai study tour; initiate joint effort and support from SEBI the Indian regulator

High-level delegates from SEBON have paid an educational visit to Mumbai to learn about the Bombay Stock Exchange under the invitation from SEBI.
The visiting team included chairman Mr. Ramesh Kumar Hamal, Acting ED Mr. Muktinath Shrestha, Deputy ED Mr. Krishna Raj Pokhrel, and Acting ED Mr Narayan Prasad Sharma, who visited SEBI, BSE, NISM, MCEX where they also interacted with the officials in these agencies.
On top, the interaction and learning were focused on improving the institutional capabilities of SEBON, introducing of automated monitoring and supervision system, ICT for the regulators and improving financial literacy, as per the media statement.
In a nutshell, the educational visit helped to establish smoother ties between the two regulating institutions in Nepal and India is expected to help in collaboration for the issues of growth of the Nepalese stock market, as per the media statement.
