Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has instructed all stock brokers to make necessary upgradation to their back office trading software. The upgrades should facilitate traders to open an online account and provide them with a username and password. With the upgradation, investors should be able to input buying and selling orders. The broker will then input the orders on the trading floor on first-come first-served basis. Investors will also be able to see their transaction history with the broker from the internet easily. Currently, investors trading in the secondary market should visit the respective brokers’ office or provide orders via phone. With the new provision, traders can bypass this inconvenience, provide orders and keep track of their transactions easily through the internet.
