SEBON dismisses committee investigating illegitimate flow of capital in stock market

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has dissolved a committee formed to conduct a study on illegal flow of capital in the stock market.
Issuing a press statement on Sharwan 24, 2073 it statedthat there are concerned bodies to investigate on the illegitimate flow of money in the stock market. Also it will take necessary steps against it. Many investors have misunderstood that the committee formed by SEBON will carry out investigation on the money laundering cases in the stock market. ‘The committee has only been formed to carry out investigation only about the illegitimate flow of capital in the secondary market. ’ added the statement.
Earlier, the Board has formed a committee to investigate the income source of investors investing more than Rs 10 lakh rupees. Hence the committee formed by SEBON has been dissolved.
