SEBON conducts half day legal interaction program with judges and advocates

Securities Board of nepal in an association with Bar Association High Court of Lalitpur and Nepal Stock Exchange has conducted a half day share market regulation and legal management interaction on Jestha 4, 2075. The high-level interaction program was attended by present and former office bearers of High Court Bar Association, several advocates, several senior judges and officials from SEBON and NEPSE.

Several legally binding issues such as preventing insider trading, regulating the share transaction of hotels, licensing  subsidiary companies of commercial banks to function as stock brokers, penalizing ones who spread baseless rumors in the market, preparing conducive environment to invite investment of NRNs into share market among others and alike were discussed in the event.

The interaction event was attended by senior judge from the Supreme Court Mr. Om Prakash Mishra, chairman of Nepal bar Association and senior advocate Mr. Sher Bahadur K.C, chairman of Patan High Court Bar Association Mr. Major Thapa among others who highlighted about growing importance of such legal interaction to regulate the share market of Nepal in order to encourage healthy and ethical practices.
