SEBON conducts ‘Capital Market Awareness Program’ in Dang, Salyan & Rukum

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has recently conducted ‘Capital Market Awareness Program’ in Dang, Salyan and Rukum of Mid-Western Development Region. The program was conducted separately in each place in coordination with respective districts’ Udhyog Banijya Sangh and colleges. ‘The Board has been conducting various programs in order to increase awareness of capital market which is mostly Kathmandu centered. These programs are aimed to spread awareness to people outside the valley as well.’ said Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, Chairman of the Board. Mr. Karki also highlighted on ASBA (Application Supported by Blocked Amount) system which was implemented from Magh 1, 2073. Around 535 participants including students, government officials, investors, officials of respective districts’ Chamber of Commerce and local people took part in the share market awareness program. Earlier, this type of capital market awareness and interaction program was conducted in Manma, Kalikot, Birendranagar, Surkhet and Jajarkot. The Board has been carrying out training for investors and conducting interaction programs on capital market to make the program effective in every district of the country.
