SEBON Commemorates 31 Years of Foundation: Reflecting on Milestones and Acknowledging Stakeholders

The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) is celebrating its 31st foundation day anniversary on Thursday.
On the occasion, the Board reflected on its accomplishments and expressed gratitude to all stakeholders involved for their support during the period.
The Board recounted the provision of 10 per cent reservation in public issuances for Nepali migrants working abroad and mentioned that the step proved to be multidimensionally beneficial.
"The Board amended the earlier provision to only allow limited share brokers in the share market and introduced procedures to provide brokerage licenses to companies fulfilling the requirements in the said timeline through Open System," stated the Board.
The Board stated that all steps that have been adopted by SEBON since its establishment have been in the best interest of the investors and have benefitted the capital market and mentioned other steps taken for the same intentions.
The Board on the occasion expressed its sincere gratitude to the Nepal govt, the Ministry of Finance, incumbent and former ministers at the Ministry, staffers, members of the Board, Stock Brokers, listed companies, investors and all well-wishers for their constant support and co-operation.
Lastly, SEBON stated that similar help and collaboration with all concerned authorities and stakeholders is expected in the future as well.
On the occasion, to celebrate the 31st anniversary, the Khumaltar-based office too remained closed.
