SEBON and NEPSE conducts high-level interaction program; issues pertaining share market regulation and legal proceedings discussed

Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and Bar Association- Kathmandu has jointly organized an interaction program to address the issues of share market regulation and legal provisions. The interaction program was conducted with senior Judge of Supreme Court Dipak Raj Joshi as the chief guest as well as range of judges from Supreme Court and other courts, senior advocates from Nepal Bar Association, members from SEBON, NEPSE and other regulatory bodies. The press statement issued today quoted the senior judge Mr. Dipak Raj Joshi that the cases regarding the securities market usually get complicated because of lack of knowledge in the field and such kinds of interaction would be helpful to learn more about the field. Executive Director of the Board Mr. Paristha Nath Paudyal highlighted about the current situation of the share market and the future course of actions of the board while Deputy Manager of NEPSE Mr. Niranjan Phuyal stressed about the impact of court rulings over the share market. Chairman of the SEBON Mr. Rewat Bahadur Karki informed that SEBON has recently been trying to bring every possible changes into the securities market of Nepal so that the sector can be more transparent and accessible to all.
