Samling Power Company Incurs Loss Of Rs. 7.02 Crores In Q3; EPS at Negative Rs. 14.55

Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) has reported a net loss of Rs. 7.02 Crores in the third quarter (Q3) of the current FY 2078/79. In the corresponding quarter of the previous year, there was a net profit of Rs. 1.7 Crores.

The unaudited balance sheet of the company does not mention any specific reason for such loss however it has specified that the vast changes in the Revenue and Liquidity during the quarter is because the plant remained shut down from Kartik 3, 2078 to Magh 24, 2078 due to the consequences of unexpected flood which occurred on Kartik 3, 2078. Likewise, the liquidity ratio of the company decreased from 3.57 times to 1.47 times in this quarter.

The reserve fund of SPC stands at Rs. 7.01 crores with share capital at Rs 50 crores. At this capital, Its annualized earning per share stands at Rs. -14.55 and the net worth per share at Rs. 114.04.
