Sakchyam, NMB launch dairy financing program

KATHMANDU, July 24:

Sakchyam Access to Finance Programme and NMB Bank Limited has launched a dairy financing program for milk co-operatives and farmers of mid and war western regions.

"With this product partnership, farmers of mid and far-western region can receive required financial resources and supply milk to Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) which can open new avenues for all the players of the milk value chain," a press release issued on Friday said.

Likewise, NMB Bank will also disburse Rs 250 million in loans in the three-year duration for the project. The project will directly lend to milk co-operatives in the selected and nearby districts based on their financial requirement, according to the release.
