Sagarmatha Insurance net profit  dwindles by 57.50 % in Q2

Sagamatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC) has posted a net profit of Rs 3.22 crore for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73.The figure stood at Rs 7.58 crore in the corresponding quarter for the previous fiscal year. The net profit dropped by 57.50 % as compared to the corresponding quarter of last year.  As per the unaudited report for the second quarter published today, the company’s net earnings from premiums decreased to Rs.22.66 crore from Rs.25.21 crore as compared to the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal year. Sagarmatha Insurance has a paid up capital of Rs.35.65 crore in this quarter up from Rs 31 crore in the last fiscal year. The reserve fund of the company decreased to Rs 18.99 crore in Q2 from Rs. 25.74 crore. Meanwhile, the company’s insurance fund increased to Rs 30.28 from Rs. 26.05 crore. The company’s number of policy holders decline to 20.53 thousand this quarter from 24.12 thousand as in the same period last year. Sagarmatha Insurance’s earning per share (EPS) stands at Rs. 9.04, net worth per share at Rs.243.11 and P/E ratio at 105.29 times.
